Single-Piece Wide EPDM Membrane from Shuangshi
Mr Manuel comes from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a local roofing contractor, was preparing for a major large-scale roofing project in local. The project required a high-quality wide-width white EPDM membrane that met local energy codes while helping the owner reduce overall material and costs. However, finding the right supplier proved difficult. Through the communication, we summarized what is the key demands from Manuel.
The EPDM must be wide-width, similar in quality and consistency to products from North American leading manufacturers.
The membrane must be formed in a single piece, not stitched or welded together from narrow strips.
The roof required a white, high-reflectivity EPDM to comply with local energy-efficiency and heat-island regulations.
The pricing needed to be competitive to maintain the contractor’s margins on such a large project, and meeting the owner's budget.
Before approaching us, he had already contacted suppliers in India. even through they have a competitive price, However, their production technology relied on narrow-width pieces spliced together, which resulted in visible seams, weaker mechanical properties, and poor long-term durability. This solution was unacceptable for a project of this scale and importance.
Solution from Us.
The contractor eventually found Qingdao Shuangshi New Material, impressed by our ability to provide:
True 5.8-meter (19 ft) wide EPDM membranes
Produced using one-piece extrusion and calendaring technology—no splicing, no secondary seams, fully comparable to large North American manufacturers.
Custom white EPDM with high solar reflectivity
Designed to meet the southern U.S. “cool roof” energy regulations while reducing building heat load.
Cost-effective manufacturing and stable quality
Allowing the contractor to maintain competitive pricing without sacrificing performance.
We shipped samples to Louisiana for testing, and all physical and chemical properties—including tensile strength, elongation, thickness uniformity, and UV resistance—passed the contractor’s independent quality evaluation.
After technical approval, we finalized a competitive price plan and moved quickly into production.
Seamless Delivery to the job site
To streamline logistics, the contractor asked for direct delivery to the construction site. We coordinated door-to-site transportation, helping them avoid multiple transfers and unnecessary handling.
